Santa Coloma de Gramenet

Santa Coloma de Gramenet is located between Badalona, Sant Adrià Del Besòs and Montcada I Reixach. The Besos River separates Badalona from Barcelona.

From Plaça de la Vila in Santa Coloma de Gramenet to Plaça Catalunya in Barcelona there are only 8km long.

Santa Coloma has different access to the highways AP-7, C-58, C-31, B-20, Ronda de Dalt, Litoral Road and BV5001 (La Roca Road).

Moreover, Santa Coloma has underground; the Line 9 (Orange), with six stations in the along the city and, at the same time, connected with Badalona and Barcelona. And the Line 1 (Red) that has two mainly stations named Santa Coloma and Fondo.

Santa Coloma is very well-communicated, so that it’s attractive for settle in small and medium companies, especially in the service sector and no-polluting industrial workshops sector.

Santa Coloma also is a university city. There is the Campus de la Alimentación de la Universidad de Barcelona (UB) and a Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) headquarters, both located in the Torribera zone, where there it’s possible to study Human Nutrition and Food Sciences and Technology. New equipments like a Singuerlin Salvador Cabré Library, the central Library, the Can Roig I Torres Auditorium, The Scenic Central and the Josep Mª de Sagarra Municipal Theatre, can be added to the newest buildings and architectural heritage from the city.

It’s paramount to state the Iberian settlement of Puig Castellar. This town belongs to the people of the Laietans and the general chronology of the settlement reached by the end of the V century or early fourth century BC to the end of the third century BC or early second century BC.
